Marginn is a job costing and business management tool for manufacturing shops. It helps you calculate accurate selling prices before you quote, generate GST-compliant invoices, and track your shop's performance over time.
Markup is calculated on cost: SP = TC × 1.25 gives you 25% markup, but only 20% margin. Margin is calculated on selling price: SP = TC / (1 - 0.25) gives you a true 25% margin. Marginn always uses the correct margin formula so the percentage you set is exactly what you earn.

You enter each machine's purchase cost, useful life, annual maintenance budget, power consumption, and productive hours per year. Marginn calculates the Machine Hour Rate (MHR) per machine - not a shop-wide average. This rate is then applied to cycle time when costing a job.
Yes. From any invoice, click the email button to send a GST-compliant PDF directly to your customer. The invoice is attached as a PDF and the invoice status is automatically updated to Sent.
When creating an invoice, you set the GST rate and line items with HSN codes. The PDF shows CGST and SGST split (or IGST for inter-state), the taxable amount, and total. Reverse charge is supported. The format is compliant with Indian GST invoice requirements.
Go to the Team section from the menu in the bottom-left of the app (the ... button). Enter your team member's email address and they will receive an invitation to join your workspace.
All data is stored in Supabase with Row Level Security (RLS) enabled - your company's data is completely isolated from other companies. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We do not sell or share your business data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Go to Settings in the app and scroll to the Danger Zone section. You can delete your account and all associated data permanently from there. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
Marginn is currently in early access. This means you get full access to all features while we finalise pricing. There are no automatic charges during early access - pricing is agreed individually before any billing begins. We will give at least 30 days notice before any paid plan is introduced.
